But Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also signalled more immigration changes will come this fall for permanent residents. A possible reduction in permanent resident levels could mark a major policy reversal for the Trudeau government.

City News – Thousands of international students in Canada face deportation, sparking protests nationwide

Canada is currently witnessing countrywide protests as more than 70,000 international student graduates could face deportation due to federal policy changes, and the unprecedented number of students who came to the country with dreams of a new life say their futures are now in limbo. Representatives with Naujawan Support Network, a student advocacy group, said the graduates are at risk of being deported when their work permits expire at the end of this year. This comes after the Canadian government announced changes to its immigration policies, which included limiting study permits.

Speaking to reporters in Dartmouth, N.S., before the start of a Liberal cabinet retreat in neighbouring Halifax, Fraser justified the government’s past decision — made while he was immigration minister — to relax regulations around the TFW program as necessary at a time of pandemic-related staff shortages.

L’instigateur de cette activitéest Jeanpy Wilondja, originaire du Congo. Il a intitulé l’activité Pamoja par lesoccer. Pajoma signifie ensemble en swahili, une langue parlée dans des pays d’Afrique.
