He welcomes the probe into Canada’s response to the fall of Afghanistan, but retired Canadian Maj.-Gen. David Fraser is feeling frustrated. While a special new committee of MPs prepares to put the spotlight on the government’s handling of the crisis, thousands of Afghans who helped Canada’s military during the 20-year-long War on Terror remain living under the Taliban flag. Afghans are running out of hope, Fraser said, and he wants the committee to push the government to move faster on fulfilling its promise to bring 40,000 Afghans to Canada.

Ce projet pilote est en fait le prolongement d’un programme de 2018 qui visait à identifier 10 à 15 réfugiés qualifiés au Moyen-Orient et en Afrique de l’Est qui répondent aux exigences des programmes d’immigration économique du Canada.

Mohamed joined supporters at the Prime Minister’s Office on Tuesday morning to make her stalled case public.
CTV News – Government Launches Second Phase of Skilled Refugee Pilot Program
The government has expanded a pilot that allows refugees to apply for permanent residency through conventional economic immigration streams by removing some of the barriers that would traditionally have precluded them. The minister hopes to see only a six-month window between the date a successful candidate submits their application and the day they can start working in Canada.
