A recent data dump from the now-defunct neo-Nazi forum Iron March has led to the identification of hundreds of users engaging with extremist groups around the world. Among them are approximately 88 Canadians who span provinces, age groups, and religious affiliations. Iron March was founded in 2011 by Russian nationalist Alexander “Slavros” Mukhitdinov and was considered the birthplace of several modern fascist far-right neo-Nazi movements.
Chronicle Herald – Bridgewater Resident Arraigned on Immigration, Fraud Charges
A Dutch national who has allegedly lived in Nova Scotia since 2000 using a false identity was arraigned in Halifax provincial court Wednesday on immigration and criminal charges. David Samh Samhun Ishaq Sadik, 50, of Bridgewater faces an Immigration and Refugee Protection Act charge of misrepresentation and a Criminal Code charge of fraud over $5,000 for allegedly collecting more than $230,000 in social assistance over the past 19 years.

CBC News – African Visitors Least Likely to Obtain Canadian Visas
A temporary resident visa (TRV), often referred to as a visitor visa, gives travellers temporary admission to Canada, though people coming to work or study may need separate permits. According to an analysis of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) data obtained by CBC News through access to information, the TRV approval rate for African applicants fell by 18.4 per cent between 2015 and 2018. Canadian academics have complained about the difficulty African scholars and researchers have had obtaining temporary resident visas to travel to Canada for conferences.
